In the context of the early Franco, due to repression and other elements of coercion, broadcast channels are optimized to transmit the ideological propaganda message that the regime wanted to impose. The media were indispensable for that purpose. Radio, and specifically, the “female issues” will not only be one way of indoctrination of women in the values of nationalcatholicism but a tool to shape their behavior and emotions.
